Editing & Proofreading

English has become the standard language for reporting scientific findings. Although the novelty of any discovery will ultimately determine whether it can be published, presentation of the results in a format with correct grammar, spelling and language usage helps ensure that the document will be reviewed and can be published in an English-language journal. We can also ensure that your review, slide set, book chapter or grant proposal is clear, concise and written in a manner that will be attractive to your audience or the reviewers.

We provide both editing (extensive changes to the word selection, grammar and organization of a document) and proofreading (minor changes to the spelling and grammar) services, specializing in documents from authors for whom English is a second language.

Writing

Have a lot of data, but no time to write? We will provide as much or as little assistance as needed. We are happy to write individual sections (i.e. the Abstract), or you can send us data and a list of methods and experimental conditions, and we will write the entire manuscript or presentation. Dr. Rayburn also has extensive experience writing grant proposals for various funding sources (DoD, NIH/NCI, Susan G. Komen Foundation, etc), and would be happy to work on your grant.
